What Square64 does

Square64 is an operations product for professional chess coaches - not a chess training app for students and not a generic tutoring scheduler.

Coaches use Square64 to manage a student roster, schedule lessons and sparring, assign homework, track lesson payment status, send branded student emails, and publish a shareable availability page.

Why Square64 requests Google user data

Square64 requests Google account access so professional chess coaches can sign in and sync coaching sessions with Google Calendar. Students and parents do not sign in with Google.

For sign-in, Square64 uses OpenID, email, and profile so we can authenticate the coach, create their Square64 account, and show their name and email in the product. We do not use this identity data for advertising.

For calendar access, Square64 requests permission to view and edit events on the coach’s calendars (calendar.events). We use that access only on the coach’s primary calendar to: list existing events for conflict detection and public availability busy times; create and update lesson and sparring events; attach Google Meet conference details for longer lessons where the product supports it; update event descriptions (for example sparring game links); and delete events when a coach cancels a session.

Square64 does not use Google Calendar to create or delete calendars, change sharing settings, or read unrelated Google products. We do not sell Google user data, do not use it for advertising, and do not transfer it to third parties except subprocessors needed to host and operate the service, or as required by law. Our use of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use. See the Privacy Policy for full details.
